Week of 2/7/18

I apologize for the delay in getting out the blog. I have been out sick. We have had several students out each day with illness.

Sick Children
Families, we are deep into cold and flu season. If your child is sick, please keep him or her at home. If they wake up with a temperature, please do NOT give them Tylenol or Advil and send them to school.  A fever indicates your child is contagious and should be kept at home to recover.  Sending your child in to school exposes the rest of the class to illness, and usually just makes your own child feel worse. Of course, sometimes children wake up fine and go quickly "downhill" over the morning, this is understandable and we do our best to keep an eye on ill children and send them home when needed.

We do wipe down desks with Lysol Wipes and take as many preventative measures as possible but we always welcome your support! Thank you!

Volunteer!
New volunteer opportunity!!
We are seeking parent support for our library time: Mondays from 12:20-12:45

Here is an opportunity to help our class without a huge time commitment! We need a parent volunteer to aid during our library time which is from 12:20- 12:25 on Mondays. You can help any capacity that you feel comfortable with...
* Read a book to the class
* Assist scholars looking for books
* Check books in and out of the computer system

You do need to be fingerprinted to assist in this capacity. It's not required, but if you would like a quick training on the layout of the library, how to search for books or how to check books in and out of the computer you can contact Shannon Lee at library@archwaylincoln.org.
